Everything NEW Coming to EA FC 25

With EA Sports new game, FC 25, coming on the 27th September, myself and plenty of fans of the game are getting excited! New information has been dropping on the regular and you may have missed one or two things. Here is EVERYTHING coming to EA FC 25.

Core Gameplay Updates

FC IQ

The FC IQ system is a new tactical and positional framework designed to enhance gameplay variety and authenticity. It includes three main components: Player Roles, Team Tactics, and Smart Tactics. Player Roles, influenced by real-world Opta data, will determine how players think, behave, and move off the ball. Team Tactics will provide a more realistic approach to formations, defensive strategies, and build-up play, while Smart Tactics will offer in-game tactical suggestions to help players adapt their strategies dynamically.

HyperMotionV Technology

Building on volumetric data, HyperMotionV introduces new animations and improved player movements, making the game feel more realistic. This technology ensures that each match is unique, with AI behaviors mimicking real-life players more closely.

Personally, I'm looking forward to the day we say goodbye to HyperMotion...

PlayStyle Plus for Goalkeepers:

For the first time, goalkeepers will have specific PlayStyles, such as Footwork, Rush Out, Deflector, and Far Reach, enhancing their reactions and performance based on real-world data.

Key Mechanics Overhaul

Passing

The passing system has been redesigned to reflect the real-world challenges of making accurate passes. Player attributes now significantly influence pass outcomes, adding more depth and authenticity to gameplay. New animations for passing under different conditions, like rain or snow, and improvements to cross targeting, aim to provide a more nuanced passing experience.

Shooting

Shooting accuracy has been revamped to align more closely with player abilities and situational challenges. Off-balance and tough-angle shots will now trigger new animations, adding to the realism.

Dribbling

Dribbling has been refined to offer more control and responsiveness, with improved animations for various turning angles and first touches. The Effort Dribble mechanic has also been enhanced for better manoeuvrability.

Skill Moves

Several new skill moves have been introduced, including Big Feint, Stop and Go, and Toe Drag Stepover. Existing skill moves have been updated to be more responsive and effective in appropriate situations.

Professional Fouls (yeah...)

A new strategic element, professional fouls, has been added, allowing players to halt counterattacks or promising advances with calculated fouls. This mechanic carries a risk, as excessive use can lead to yellow or red cards.

Improved Defensive AI

Defensive AI has been improved to better handle situations where defenders are about to be beaten, and to enhance zone marking inside the penalty area. Goalkeeper movements have also been restricted to make their actions more realistic and less predictable.

Set Pieces

New roles for players during corner kicks and adjusted free-kick mechanics add variety to set pieces. The Penalty Kick system has also been updated with new animations and more realistic shot speeds.

Wind Effects

For the first time, wind effects will be included, impacting ball trajectory and player movement. This feature will be available in offline modes and can be adjusted in the settings.

Eval Engine and Rules

The Eval Engine now includes a Pass Map for deeper tactical analysis. Additionally, new rules like Offside Advantage Overlay and Red Card Advantage have been introduced to enhance gameplay realism.

So, with EA FC 25 launching worldwide on 27th September, 2024. Are you excited about these changes? Professional fouls is something I believe do not belong in the game, it shouldn't be praised.

What do you think?
